Shortie is an AI video clipper that turns a long video into post-ready 9:16 short clips. By using Shortie, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

This policy applies to information we process when you visit our site, create an account, submit a video or other inputs, and generate clips with Shortie. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of any social network or other third party where you choose to post or upload the clips you create.

• Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive limited billing data such as the last four digits of your card, billing country, and subscription status, but we do not store full card numbers.
• Video inputs and generated content. To make your clips, we process the source video you upload or link, along with any titles, settings, and other inputs you provide, and the clips, captions, transcripts, and video files Shortie generates for you.
• Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with Shortie, including pages viewed, features used, clips generated, actions taken, and timestamps.
• Device and log data. We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and similar technical details.
• Cookies and analytics data. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used, as described below.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Shortie service.
• Generate your clips, including analyzing the video you provide, finding the best moments, scoring them for virality, reframing to 9:16 with speaker tracking, and captioning and rendering the finished shorts.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and product updates.
• Analyze usage to improve our features, models, and output quality.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

Your clips and inputs

The video and inputs you submit are used to generate your clips and to operate and improve the service. The finished clips we create are yours to use on your own channels. You are responsible for having the rights to the video you upload, and for where and how you post the clips you download.

We do not sell your personal information or your inputs, and we do not use your private video to build advertising profiles for unrelated purposes.

Generated ads and inputs may be retained while your account is active so you can access your library.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to notify you where required if an incident occurs.

Your rights
