Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026
Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Shortie.ai ("Shortie", "we", "us", or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website and services. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or using Shortie, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Shortie on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use Shortie.
The service
Shortie is an AI video clipper. You provide a long video, such as a link to a video you own, a podcast, a webinar, an interview, or a recording, and Shortie analyzes it, finds the best moments, scores each one for virality, reframes to 9:16 with speaker tracking, and burns in animated captions. You receive a batch of post-ready vertical short clips that you can download and publish on the social networks of your choice. You are responsible for having the rights to any video you upload or link.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Shortie. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at team@shortie.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.
Subscriptions, fees, and billing
Shortie is offered on a subscription basis with a flat fee, charged in US dollars. Fees recur automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active through the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. Plans include a defined amount of clipping each period; details of your plan limits are shown at checkout and in your account.
AI-generated content and your responsibility
Shortie selects moments and produces clips automatically using AI. While we work to make output that is high quality and on-message, AI-generated content can contain mistakes, miss context, or surface moments that do not fit your message. You are responsible for reviewing every clip before you publish it. You are solely responsible for the clips you publish, for the accuracy and legality of what they show, and for ensuring each clip complies with all applicable laws and with the policies of any platform where you post it. Shortie makes the clips; you decide what to post and where.
Ownership and license to your clips
Shortie and all related software, models, designs, text, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own the clips Shortie produces from your video and may use them in connection with your own channels and marketing. You retain ownership of the source video you provide, and you confirm you have the rights to it. You grant us the rights needed to process that video and operate and improve the service.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Shortie. You will not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the service, interfere with its operation or security, access it without authorization, or upload video you do not have the rights to, or use the service to create clips that are illegal, deceptive, infringing, hateful, or harmful. You will not use clips to impersonate a real person, to mislead about who is speaking or endorsing something, or in any way that violates the rights of others. We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or harming the service or other users.
No guarantee of performance
Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your source material, niche, posting cadence, and platform conditions. Any virality scores, benchmarks, averages, or example results we share are illustrative and are not promises or guarantees of future performance. We do not guarantee that the clips you create will be approved by any platform or that they will generate any particular level of views, likes, followers, or engagement.
Third-party platforms
You choose where to upload and post the clips you create with Shortie. Your use of any social network is subject to that platform's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the decisions, actions, or availability of those platforms, including content removals, account restrictions, or policy changes.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Shortie is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shortie and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shortie and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the service, the video you upload, the clips you create and post, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.
Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or others. On termination, your right to use Shortie ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Shortie's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Shortie after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
